Arts & Entertainment Association is a creative and technical service provider based in Maryland, led by audio-visual specialist and music creative, Marques Lawson.

With backgrounds in professional AV, live events, and studio work, we bridge the gap between technical execution and creative vision. Whether it’s running the AV for a corporate meeting, producing a R&B or Hip Hop track, DJing a party, or shooting and editing video content, our goal is to make your event or project look and sound the way you imagined—without you worrying about the details.
We work with artists, small businesses, and event organizers who want more than “just someone with gear.” We bring reliability, clear communication, and a focus on vibe and quality to every project, big or small.

Marques Lawson
Marques Lawson is the founder of the Arts & Entertainment Association, a creative and technical service based in the DMV area.
He works at the intersection of audio, visuals, and live events—on any given day, he might be running AV for a corporate meeting, recording and mixing music, shooting video, or helping an artist or small business bring their ideas to life on screen.

Coming from a professional audio-visual background, Marques is more than just a guy with a camera or someone who makes beats. He understands signal flow, room setup, gear, and the behind-the-scenes details that make events and content actually run smoothly. At the same time, he is a music creator at heart. So he cares deeply about vibe, storytelling, and how things feel, not just how they look on paper.

Everything Marques does through the Arts & Entertainment Association is built around one idea:
make it easier for artists, small businesses, and event organizers to sound good, look good, and feel prepared.
Whether he’s DJing, providing AV support, recording, mixing, shooting video, or helping clients choose the right starter gear, his goal is to be the person they can trust to handle the details so they can focus on their message, their performance, or their people.

On top of being an entrepreneur and certified AV Specialist, Marques Lawson is also a loving husband, and father to 2 wonderful children.
